Lucky Number 7

Here we are, there we were, now where do we go? How about, let's have fun. I admit, there are a lot of useless things on the Internet that I like and find myself wasting life on. Some are fun, others informative, and most more often lean towards the most wonderful natural expression of the human body and the amazing interactions between the sexes, my fave. With the Internet and its many possible future versions and expansions, expressions and interactions, for the individual or the masses; as long as it remains as free and open from censorship and restrictions as possible, life should be grand, beautiful, and filled with endless possibilities and opportunities. Let's all go to Vegas and bet on lucky number 7!

If It Floats Your Boat

The more I get into this Web 2.0 world and the subsequent trends associated with the world wide web, the more I realize that there literally is something for everyone. If you can imagine it, it probably already exists online. It makes me happy and sad at the same time. Happy, because the more stuff that is available to us as human beings, the better informed we are at making decisions in regards to the many aspects of our lives. Sad, because many, many, people out there are making lots of money on ideas that are very simple and common sense. I certainly should be among them. Going through each individual website and technology, I find that not everything appeals to me. Some I even find senseless. However, sites like "What Should I Read Next," "Wikimapia," "Book Mooch," and "ELF" do appeal to my senses. And thus, my adage "If it floats your boat use it, and if your boat takes on water, jump;" relates to each and every one of us.

The Amazing Web 2.0

Wow! This is my overall impression of Web 2.0. The fact that I am living in a time where information is abound makes me speechless. I never realized the potential and encompassing vastness of technology and how it is really transforming people's lives. It's one thing to search the internet for information, but people are really living virtually and interacting with whomever they desire. I find this very liberating and exciting. This is the next generation of internet. From basic information gathering to vast, endless, social networks. It's hard to remain a loner in such an ocean. I hope such progression surely advances into all of our wildest dreams, with little or no censorship. It should always be open, with the mentality of no reservations. We the individual must remain in control. Viva La Revolution! Be yourself and share your individuality. Life is indeed beautiful. Unless of course, you find yourself without a computer and internet service provider.

Tech Wizard in Progress

Week 3 - What I have found simple and easy at the start has developed into challenging and exciting possibilities. Given enough time, and with the proper instruction, I am able to grasp and understand each new fascinating technology. I admit, I am not the tech wizard I so wish I could be, but I am learning. That's what this whole process is about; learning. I visited and searched Grokker. Have successfully selected my RSS feeds to the areas of interest I myself humbly choose: A couple news worthy, one entertainment, one local, and of course OCLS. I find that Learn 2.0 is working with my learning preference overall, providing one has sufficient time to make mistakes. Hey, isn't life in general all about making mistakes and then hopefully learning from them and trying to avoid the ones you have already made? Let's all take the time to learn, make mistakes, and grow like the beautiful snowflakes we are.
